Some billing models are complex because the product is complex. Others are complex because the business sitting behind the product is a three-way relationship, spread across continents, running on spreadsheets held together by a handful of people who know exactly which cell to update. Eleven VMS was living the second kind of complexity.
Who is Eleven VMS
Eleven VMS, Mantu’s Vendor Management System, is Europe’s leading platform for managing consulting services and external expertise. It connects major international groups with their preferred external service providers throughout the source-to-pay lifecycle, supporting consulting engagements in more than 50 countries.
As a SaaS solution, Eleven VMS connects with companies’ existing e-procurement solutions, allowing procurement teams to link sourcing, contracting, mission management, renewals, and invoicing within their wider purchasing environment. This gives organizations a clear view of their external workforce and supplier spend, while bringing together contingent workforce management, vendor management, spend management, and services procurement.
The platform helps organizations simplify processes, strengthen compliance, control costs, and make better procurement decisions. It also supports closer collaboration between clients and consulting firms, from the initial request through to invoicing.
The challenge: industrializing a pricing model with too many moving parts
That structure is what makes Eleven VMS’s billing genuinely different from a typical B2B SaaS. Eleven VMS’s billing model is itself hybrid: depending on the contract, the invoiced party can be the company running the procurement process or the consulting firms performing the missions, and the pricing logic varies accordingly rather than following a single flat model. Eleven VMS owns the relationship with the end client (the “Enterprise”) and negotiates commercial terms on a country-by-country basis, so a single consulting firm’s invoice is really the consolidation of several distinct client × country agreements, each with its own terms. On top of that, Eleven VMS invoices from several legal entities (Europe, North America, and Asia), each billing in its own currency (EUR, USD, INR), and each consolidating every client × country agreement it owns into a single invoice per consulting firm. A consulting firm working several missions across several clients needed a clear breakdown by client, plus a detailed appendix listing every mission, the consultants involved and the amount, reconciling exactly back to the invoice total.

Building the missing pieces, together
Getting Eleven VMS live on Meteroid meant solving for their model piece by piece rather than shoehorning it into an existing template. Meteroid’s matrix-based pricing model & metering engine supported Eleven VMS’s multi-dimensional pricing model directly. Multiple invoicing entities were set up to match Eleven VMS’s actual legal structure across Europe, North America, and Asia, each billing in its own currency with the right tax treatment applied automatically.
Back-and-forth with Eleven VMS’s finance team, centered on the invoice appendix: a feature that reconstructs the mission-by-mission, client-by-client details behind every invoice, built directly from the usage data Eleven VMS already sends in.
The result
Before Meteroid, this ran on spreadsheets: a client database, a project database tracking every mission, a price list matched by client and country, and a separate mapping of which legal entity bills which client. Every quarter, someone pulled all of it together by hand to produce invoices.
Eleven VMS now runs its billing on Meteroid: multi-entity, multi-currency invoicing that reflects exactly how the business actually works, with detailed appendices generated automatically. What used to be a manual and time-consuming process is now streamlined and reliable, freeing the finance team to focus on the business rather than reconciling data across separate systems.
“What used to take our finance team days every quarter now takes minutes. And whenever we needed something specific, the Meteroid team was incredibly reactive in getting it built”
Damien Berthe, CFO of Eleven VMS
